Cutting Boards

Over time the oil finish will wear and leave the wood vulnerable to drying and cracking.

They need to be reconditioned with mineral oil and wax every few months depending on how often the board is used. For heavy daily use, re oil the board as often as every month.

Steps include:

1. Wash the entire board with warm water removing anything, a little soap is ok.

2. Once dry, apply food grade mineral oil. Start with a nice even coat, you can always add more.

3. Let the wood soak it in for a couple of hours then wipe off excess.

4. If desired, you can use wood butter for an extra shine. Apply a liberal amount of board butter to cover the whole surface, let it sit for 10 minutes and buff it off.

Your done!!

Coasters

With normal use, coasters will eventually look a little loved. The condensation from cups will usually leave rings.

The best way to combat this is to wipe the coasters clean after use.

You may also want to re-seal the coasters eventually.

Our coasters are finished with mineral oil. Follow the instructions above for cutting boards.
